Once home to the navy when Hong Kong was under the control of the British, Admiralty and its environs is now famous for shopping.  Although the harbour is still in use for the Chinese navy stationed in Hong Kong and visiting warships the biggest attractions are the shops and restaurants.  A road bridge separates the Queensway complex from Pacific Place so tourists can literally shop until they drop in air-conditioned comfort.
