As the Gold Coast is to Queensland in the South East then Noosa is for the North of Brisbane.  This idyllic setting has been spared most of the Honolulu type development of the Gold Coast and still manages to maintain its country/beach and layback atmosphere. 

Notwithstanding that there are many first class hotels and apartment complexes in the area the development approvals have been so strict as to allow only the most aesthetically pleasing.
