Stanley is probably the best known for its famous outdoor markets where all manner of trinkets are sold to the many tourists who occupy this small village on a daily basis. Adjacent to Stanley Market is Stanley Main Street where one choose from numerous restaurants and bars not the least well known of which is the Smugglers Arms.

One of the most amazing features of Stanley is Murray House. This grand edifice was dismantled stone by stone in 1982 from its previous location in Central to make way for high rise office towers. It was faithfully rebuilt and houses four fine restaurants overlooking Stanley Main Beach.

Nearby Stanley Fort was former barracks for the British troop contingent during their term in Hong Kong under British rule.

Stanley is a great staging destination to visit other South Side areas such as Shek O, Repulse Bay and Aberdeen with its floating restaurant and city.
