Information about Tsim Sha Tsui

Located directly across Victoria Harbour from Central and accessibly by the world famous Star Ferry, Tsim Sha Tsui (prounounced Chim Sa Chui) is the place in Hong Kong where you would physically drop by the time you finished the shop.

Hop off the ferry, walk straight out onto Nathan Road towards the distant mountains from which Kowloon got its name and all you have to do it walk up one side until you run out of shops - it's a long, long way - and cross over and head down the other side.  Don't forget to meander amongst the side streets on the way.  Shopping Nathan Road properly would take an expert shopper several days.  There are bargains both legitimate and otherwise to be had but remember the purchase of copy goods is just as substantial a crime as selling them - and in this regard you really get (and deserve) what you pay for.
